Artstation call for proposals 2010
Artstation toi tu, Auckland City’s community visual arts facility is currently calling for exhibition proposals for the Artstation Gallery.
Exhibitions are sought from the following groups:
- Artists and curators working in a community context
- New and emerging artists, including tertiary students and recent graduates
- Tangata whenua arts and culture
- Cultural groups
- Youth projects
And from groups that will present exhibitions which:
- Comment on community and social issues
- Involve community and/or audience participation
Most exhibitions are curated by the participating artists, although Artstation will curate a number of exhibitions. Priority is given to group exhibitions.
How to submit a proposal
Applicants should supply a written outline of the proposed exhibition stating:
- the idea behind the exhibition
- the reason for the exhibition
- how the exhibition is relevant to the communities of Auckland
- how the exhibition will look
Applicants should also state the number of artists in the exhibition, the disciplines and media to be used, and any technical requirements.
Please also include:
- visuals of relevant work and curriculum vitae for each artist to support your proposal.
