Inventory Technician x2
Fixed Term (12 months), Full-time (40 hours per week)
Auckland War Memorial Museum is seeking to appoint two contract Inventory Technicians. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the Auckland War Memorial Museum Auckland War which holds a large and unique collection of both natural and human history objects. The Collection Management section of the Museum is responsible for the expert care and documentation of our collection. The successful candidate will have a passion for Museum collections and hold a broad and demonstrable interest in collections generally. The ideal candidate will possess a positive approach and a desire to be part of a fast paced highly productive team. They will also possess:
- Collection database experience and/or computer database knowledge
- Experience in handling and packing objects
- Acquisition and/or cataloguing experience
- Significant manual dexterity and a good spatial sense
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
The successful applicants will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, good verbal and written communication, and a practical approach.
