Theatre Producer
We are seeking an up and coming producer to become part of the team/management of a new theatre company.
The role would involve production management, sourcing funding and sponsorship, as well as business administration, advertising, marketing and promotion.
The role would be ideal for someone who has creative management skills, entrepreneurial idea's, is eager to help develop the company and their own producing portfolio. You will need drive, determination, the ability to talk to people, pitch idea's, and most importantly a love of the arts.
Payment would be discussed around initial meetings, depending on experience. However it is very much a position that is financially dependent on your ability to create and maintain relationships with potential sponsorship sources. This would not be a full time job initially however the hope is to make this a full time position that not only helps drive the company but becomes a key component to the structure and future of the seasons and shows.
We have a strong team of core members that will work along side the producer. We are open to idea's and already have a culture of co-operation and team work to get shows up and running.
The company formed at the beginning of this year. We have produced 3 successful seasons of our first show and are looking at producing 4-5 shows for 2010. We need someone to take care of the 'business' side of the company and help drive the company through 2010 and the future.
