The Department of Performing and Screen Arts offers professionally focused education and training through its industry recognised diploma, degree and graduate diploma programmes in the discipline fields of: Acting for Screen and Theatre; Directing and Writing for Screen; Film & TV production; Live Performance & Technologies; Contemporary Dance and Choreography; and Music.  

As a result of a departmental restructure we now have an exciting new full-time vacancy for a Senior Lecturer to provide leadership to the Performing Arts disciplines which also incorporates responsibility for Acting and theatre focused courses, content and projects.  As well as teaching you will be actively involved in research and curriculum design and development.  

Applicants must have:

  •  
    • A Masters degree or higher in the relevant subject area/s of discipline
    • Demonstrated recognition and reputation as a leader in the Acting discipline  
    • Demonstrated expertise and innovation in teaching and assessment, in the areas of Theatre and Screen Acting Technique and Directing for the stage
    • Proven contribution to curriculum design and development
    • Discipline based practice contribution (currency, service to profession/industry/community, institutional and/or external awards) including Directing for Theatre and/or Screen credits
