We are looking for four professional actors for this adaptation of The Man Whose Mother Was A Pirate by New Zealand author Margaret Mahy.
We would love to audition actors who have experience with, and enjoy, performing to children. The actors who audition for the characters of Sam, Pirate Mother and Philosopher also need to be strong singers.
The show is produced by Tim Bray Productions under the auspices of The Operating Theatre Trust, a registered charitable trust.
We are presenting this season The PumpHouse Theatre, Takapuna, in late March – mid April.
We are auditioning on Thursday 4th February at the Pumphouse Theatre. Takapuna for these four roles:
Actor 1 (Male) Age 20 - 35
Sam – strong singer.
Actor 2 (Female) Age 30+
Pirate Mother – strong singer.
Actor 3 (Male) Any age
Sea Captain, Mr Fat, and Farmer or Doris (cow) or Philosopher.
Actor 4 (Male or Female) Any age
First Mate, and Farmer or Doris (cow) or Philosopher.
Please also prepare a song for the audition.

Fees:
Rehearsal Fee - $450 per week
Performance Fee - $50 per show
