North Shore’s Bruce Mason Centre is a multi-purpose theatre and conference venue located in the heart of Takapuna.

Due to a change in operational structure we are now seeking to appoint two Theatre Technicians to assist the Operations & Production Manager to run our ‘back of house’. These are full time permanent positions.

The successful applicants will have a strong technical knowledge of theatre and conferencing. Responsibilities include set up and operation of Lighting, Sound, Audio Visual, Rigging, general event set up and pack down and routine operational maintenance.

Applicants must have the appropriate industry experience particularly in live theatre and the convention industry, have the ability to work in a small team environment, work flexible and varied hours and be committed to excellence. 

The successful applicants will also be team players who will complement each other with their relevant skill sets, with particular focus on Lighting for one position and Sound/AV for the other. They will also have good interpersonal and presentation skills and be customer focused. We are looking for motivated people who enjoy working in theatre and conferencing with a wide range of users: from local amateur groups to international acts.
