Stage Manager
The Southern Corridor Corridor Project is in its creative development phase.
It is a socially enagaged arts project integrating community perspectives with professional artists.
We are looking for a support person in the rehearsal room during 23rd Aug – 3rd Sep (in two weeks time).
There are 4 actors and a creative team including director – Heather Timms.

This role will include stage management duties such as:
- time keeping
- manaakitanga
- space facilitation (the rehearsal venues)
- communication with the wider team
- helping to manage props and rehearsal resources
The other major part of the role is documentation:
- taking photo’s and operating a camera as an archive
- managing the companies photo downloads each day
- being responsible for a data projector and technical equipment and projecting images / photos each day.
The role will involve some prep time and then full time for 2 weeks during the rehearsals and then some follow up time.
We have a fee for this role.
The Southern Corridor Project is the pilot project for Eko Theatre.
Eko Theatre is developing a model of working and seeks to:
- connect communities and build opportunities
- create, present and tour new inter art work made with leading professional artists and people from participating communities
- communicate a range of perspectives from within New Zealand
- respect and work within principles from Te Ao Maori
Organised, friendly, flexible, some technical skills also required with data projector and digital images.
