PARTICIPATION COORDINATOR

 

Auckland Theatre Company is seeking a fulltime Participation Coordinator to develop, co-ordinate and deliver the diverse range of activities and events which make up ATC PARTICIPATE. 

 

Active involvement with the theatre company is at the heart of ATC PARTICPATE.  The focus of the programme is to support lifelong learning by creating meaningful experiences for, by and with the diverse range of communities Auckland Theatre Company engages with.

 

ATC PARTICIPATE comprises annual and one-off events, including outreach programmes, workshops, and long-term community development projects.  By creating opportunities for engagement and ownership the programme is designed to support the development of new work and build new audiences.

 

Although in its first year, there is scope for development.  Specific strands to the current programme include Backstage Story, Open Days, Open Rehearsals, School Holiday shows, a Community Show, Masterclasses, Community Workshops, Play Readings and the Next Stage Festival.

 

Auckland Theatre Company is one of New Zealand’s leading theatre companies, staging a mainbill programme of seven to eight productions per year.  The Company has a highly regarded education and schools programme, as well as a dedicated literary unit for the development of new work.  ATC PARTICPATE sits alongside and incorporates work undertaken by both ATC EDUCATION and ATC LITERARY.
