Audition Notice: The Bone Feeder
The play
After a successful CNZ-funded workshop in December 2010, The Bone Feeder opens at TAPAC in November 2011.
The Bone Feeder is a 90 minute play based on a contemporary reworking of the historical sinking of the SS Ventnor. In 1902 the coffins of 499 Chinese sojourners from Otago and Wellington, being repatriated to their home towns in China, were lost near the Hokianga Harbour. The play follows the trials of a young man called Ben who seeks to find the lost bones of his great great grandfather, Kwan and to bring them home. Kwan’s story as an immigrant from China is also explored.

This is a physically exciting show so we are seeking fit, adaptable actors open to learning stunt work / martial arts / choreography / puppetry. For the miners, singing skills are an advantage.
