Senior Stage Manager
Organisation, preparation and completion of all stage management requirements in consultation with theatre management, directors, designers and staff.
- To contribute to the effective working of the production team in achieving departmental objectives, ie to provide the safe and efficient stage management and operation and of the theatre’s productions as an expert in this field. This will also include the training of stage management staff when necessary.
- To deal with the public and suppliers in a helpful and courteous manner at all times
- To follow standard administrative procedures including security of all monies and borrowed property items
- To operate and care for the theatre’s equipment as instructed and in a safe manner
- To work without direct supervision but also as part of a small, close-knit team
- To ensure that all work areas are kept clean and tidy
- To supervise and train production staff and volunteers as required
- To assist in all other areas of the theatre as required, including noting and assisting with the maintenance of the theatre’s buildings, plant and equipment
- To perform any other reasonable tasks which may, from time to time, be required
