'Stories of Extremity' Workshop Content
We will explore the following areas: the physical warm-up; balance and acrobatic skill; movement improvisation; games/activities to devise non-verbal physical theatre; ensemble flocking and choric improvisation; two person chorus (which involves telling a story through voice and body); larger group devising tasks and performance of new work.
We will not be working in naturalism, we'll use our bodies and voices in extraordinary ways. Good movement clothes are a must!

Beth trained in theatre and circus in N.Z and London. From 1991-1995 Beth performed with Australian company Legs on the Wall and toured with them nationally and internationally performing in the award-winning show All of Me and in acclaimed aerial work Homeland which was televised nationally by the ABC for the millennium broadcast. Over the years she has been involved in numerous projects for theatre and screen as actor, director, teacher for Theatre At Large, Pandemonium, Stalker, Belvoir St Theatre, UNITEC. She is the producer and artistic coordinator for Co.Theatre Physical touring shows to schools and Festivals. Co.Theatre Physical's recent critically acclaimed show OOH BABY BABY! has toured to Taranaki Festival '09, THE EDGE at the Concert Chamber '09, Bay of Islands Festival 2010 and will be at FUEL Festival of N.Z Theatre July 2nd and 3rd, Hawkins Theatre, Papakura August 12th and 13th and at Nelson Festival October 15th, 16th and 17th. www.cotheatrephhysical.co.nz
