Marylyn Mayo Internship 2011-2012
In 2011 -2012,The Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamāki is offering a paid internship which offers training and work experience for 3 months, to undertake the following project:
- Learning Through Art: a visitor research and evaluation project associated with a range of Learning Programmes in an Art Gallery environment through the development, collection and analysis of research data,
The Marylyn Mayo Internship is aimed at assisting with the career of:
- a postgraduate or recent graduate student who intends to pursue a career in art galleries in the areas of conservation or the care and management of collections
or to:
- a person currently employed in an art gallery or museum, or who has had some relevant experience in the areas of conservation or the care and management of collections and has an ongoing commitment to working in one of these areas.
The closing date for applications is 7 December 2011

Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki
History, heritage and culture are brought to life at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki. Founded in 1888, it remains New Zealand’s largest visual arts experience, with a collection numbering over 15,000 works. The main gallery building is now open after a comprehensive heritage restoration and expansion.
