Job description:

Each year, for the last 60 years, UNICEF has sold Christmas cards to raise funds for our work with children around the world. Here in New Zealand we have a long history of highlighting the work of local artists, who over many years have contributed to the wellbeing of children through their donation of the rights to reproduce their artworks.
We are currently looking for submissions for the 2009 range of cards. This might be particularly suitable for tertiary students, emerging artists and designers etc – it is something that can be added to a portfolio, and we give each successful artist a supply of their printed card.
There are guidelines available on our website - http://www.unicef.org.nz/page/279/ArtistsforUNICEF.html, but generally speaking we are looking for designs that will work well on a printed card, that have a Christmas or summer theme. Often cards which have a simple iconic design, or reflect the New Zealand summer work well.

Key skills sought:

Designs can be submitted in a variety of media.
