Gallery Host Weekend Supervisor
This is a special opportunity to join a close-knit team and to make a vital contribution to an institution which has placed Wellington and New Zealand firmly on the international cultural map.
Using your proven experience in a Gallery/Museum customer services role, you will work as a supervisor of the Gallery Host team and be responsible for the smooth running of customer services and security operations in the weekends. Hours will be 9.15am – 5.45pm with a 1 hour lunch break.
You will be part of the Gallery Host team being a security presence in the gallery spaces and working on Front of House but will have a supervisory role ensuring that art works are safe in our care, that our staff deliver excellent customer service and staff are found to cover any sick Gallery Hosts. Your responsibilities will include opening and closing the Gallery, preparation of the Gallery spaces for visitors, and cashing up. You will also co-ordinate any repairs of lighting, AV, artwork and cleaning needed during the weekend by contacting the appropriate people. You will be trained in /or willing to learn First Aid.
Supervisory experience, customer service experience (including cash handling), First Aid training (not required)
