Expressions of Interest sought for the Christchurch Arts Centre/Asia New Zealand Foundation Arts Residency Exchange, 2010. This is the second year of this residency exchange, with last year's winner being Kushana Bush.

This opportunity is for an artist aged 24-49 to travel to Seoul from March- June, 2010 and includes:

  • accomodation and studio space at the prestigous Changdong Studio, run by the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul
  • return flights to Korea from New Zealand
  • per diem
  • insurances
  • post-residency public showing or work/exhibition at The Arts Centre in Christchurch and artist talk
  • promotion surrounding the residency exchange

    I am passionate about making creative projects happen. I am a strong facilitator and people person. I have managed a public gallery and helped to evitalise the Artist in Residence programme at the Arts Centre in Christchurch prior to its cancellation post earthquake. I am a member of the Free Theatre Christchurch ensemble and have performed and toured regularly over the last 4 years. I am one of the creators of Gap Filler- an initiative which places temporary creative projects on gaps created by the earthquake (or otherwise) in ChCh city. www.gapfiller.org.nz
