Job description: 

As a Te Papa Host you will be responsible for providing a high standard of customer service and for ensuring a safe and secure environment for our collections and taonga.

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A high standard of customer service skills, including an ability to engage with visitors in a warm, friendly and approachable manner;
  • A genuine interest in helping people to understand the collections and taonga at Te Papa.

Te Papa is open 365 days.  The successful candidates will be employed on an “as and when required” basis.  It is essential that you are available to work on weekends, school holidays and/or public holidays.  Te Reo Māori skills are an advantage.
