The NZ Affordable Art Trust has recently announced the NZAAT Artist Grant to help further the career of a promising artist.

The Artist Grant will be spread out over a 6 month period starting in February 2011 and it consists of artistic and business mentoring plus $15,000 paid out as a monthly salary, allowing the recipient to work full-time as an artist. The terms of the grant will stipulate that the
successful applicant be based in Wellington for the tenure of the grant, which will mean a relocation if the winner is from out of Wellington.

All artists who are selected for the New Zealand Art Show 2010 show are eligible - there is no extra formal application process.

Registrations for the New Zealand Art Show close on 15th May.
