The New Zealand Art Show is an annual 3-day exhibition of original New Zealand art and the largest of its kind. The show is managed by a charitable trust, The New Zealand Affordable Art Trust (NZAAT) and all work is offered for sale, priced $50 - $5,000.
This iconic event has firmly established itself as a significant fixture in Wellington’s and New Zealand’s cultural calendar, confirming its place as a significant contributor to NZ’s art community.
Now heading into its 8th year the NZAAT is now inviting submissions for The NZ Art Show 2011 from all New Zealand artists. The main criteria for submission are:
- All artwork must be for sale – no more than $5,000.
- All artwork must be original.
- All artwork must be by a living NZ artist.
2011 also sees the return of the popular $5,000 Signature Piece Art Award and the Winesale Art Series Award. All artists who are selected for the exhibition are eligible to apply for these awards.
