Art Tutor Part Time
We are looking for a children's art tutor with lots of bubble and enthusiasm and energy for young kids from age 5 up. You would need to be comfortable with just a little work with just one or two classes (of 1.5 or 2hrs) a week initially. Probably on a Saturday afternoon and/or one other day a week after school. Oh but then there may be holiday programmes too. And we'd love you to stay around for the longer term, so, we're not looking for someone just to fill in time for a term or 2 between full time jobs. The success of our class depends on our tutor - and the word spreading about you and the class, so it'll be important that you're really keen to give the classes your best and that the kids enjoy being with you.
Ideally you've got a bit of teaching experience under your belt. You'll need to be organised and reliable and a great communicator too because parents will be directing there questions at you.
You'll have quite a bit of creative license and control. Each terms content and plan will come from you and so you will need to be comfortable taking responsibility for the planning and everything else involved. You'll set up class and clean up when complete.
All classes are held in our Remuera Studio. And we think you'll enjoy being part of our little team.
