Organisation/person name:
WWF-New Zealand
Work type:
Contract
Work classification:
3D Artist
Job description:

In honour of the UN declared International Year of Biodiversity, WWF-New Zealand will be launching a national campaign around celebrating the beauty and richness of New Zealand’s oceans.

Ocean:Views is a competition for works of visual art (photography, painting, illustration, mixed media), creative writing, music, and film celebrating our oceans.

We are asking people to enter the competition with their story of how our oceans are part of what it means to be a New Zealander.  For generations our oceans have inspired us, shaped our way of life, and continue to form a central part of our cultural identity.

WWF-New Zealand will be launching the campaign with an outdoor stunt along Wellington’s waterfront on Saturday, November 20th. We are inviting artists to join us along the waterfront and develop a piece of pavement artwork expressing their connection with and passion for the ocean and inviting others to think about our oceans and the opportunity we all have to protect marine life for future generations.

The launch will run from 11 am – 2 pm and we would love to have artists available throughout this time.
