Children's Drawing Tutor

Our great little studio is in Remuera and this is very much a part-time activity with just the one class currently on offer. The class runs from 4-5.30pm on Monday afternoons after school. Our tutor would open up for students at least 15 minutes prior to the start of class.  We are looking for a tutor to start from Term 1 2011 and ideally stick with us as long as possible (at least  a year).  The class is run along side the school term for 9 weeks followed by a fews weeks break for school holidays before beginning again for the next term. The tutor would be reponsible for preparing course content and for ensuring an excellent course is provided. 

We expect this to be a fun class to teach and you will also enjoy the interaction with other Bramly tutors from our friendly team.   Teaching kids of varying ages (5-13yrs) is challenging however and you will need to be well prepared to maintain their attention and enthusiasm. 

We're looking for a responsible individual who is committed to providing an excellent class, who has good drawing/cartooning skills but also someone who can communicate well with our kids and concerned parents and who has appropriate teaching experience (or someone who thinks they qualify anyway!).  There will also be a little bit of associated admin work such as providing course content briefs in advance of the next term in order to help promote the class, and of course any classtime preparation.

This is a cool opportunity for someone who loves drawing, kids and teaching! 

PS there could potentially be the odd school holiday class too if interested.
