Part-Time Custodian/ Assistant
The James Wallace Arts Trust is looking for a highly reliable, mature person to perform light duties at an Auckland property rich in sculpture while living in an historic house full of antiques and contemporary art which is often used for art/charity fundraising.
These duties include being present at the property when the existing staff are absent, lawn mowing, gardening, car cleaning and occasional driving.
In exchange the Trust will provide free board and lodging (no charge for food, electricity, gas, water, rates, insurance, maintenance, rent, and local phones etc). This position is ideal for someone doing post-graduate study.

In the mid 1960's James Wallace began collecting contemporary New Zealand art, particularly that of emerging artists. In 1992 he transferred the Collection to the newly formed Trust and proceeded to fund that Trust so that it could continue to add to the Collection and generally support the Arts in this country.
