Call for proposals -- sculpture exhibition
Submissions are sought for the 6th Sculpture in Central Otago exhibition which will be held at the Rippon Vineyard, Wanaka, from 5 February to 25 April 2011.
Located on the western shores of Lake Wanaka on undulating terrain, within a basin of the Southern Alps, this site is ideal for large-scale sculptures that will be positioned to form a sculpture trail through the extensive and varied vineyard and the natural features of the landscape.
Submitting artists should consider the following: ease of installation, impact on the environment, safety, and the ability of the work to withstand a minimum of 4 months of strong wind, extreme temperatures, rain, and sun.
Applications are now being accepted for consideration by a selection committee for the 2011 exhibition. Applications to be received on the official form by 30 April 2010.
