Art Installer Required

Sanderson Contemporary Art requires a well presented, conscientious and personable art installer for a casual part-time position.

Duties include hanging artwork in client homes and in our gallery. Assistance with small repairs / maintenance work may also be required from time to time.

The person we are seeking must have a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of art handling and materials. A background in electrical, building or other trades will be a definite advantage.

Proficiency with hand tools is required along with a can-do attitude and a logical approach to securely installing artworks. Some training will be provided. A full unblemished driver’s license is essential. A vehicle will be supplied for transportation of artworks.

Our ideal person will be flexible with their working hours and able to work weekends / evenings as required. While we aim to arrange installations as far in advance as possible, we may also require installation work to be done at short notice. Hours are variable and on-demand – approximately 10-20 hours per week.

Sanderson Contemporary Art is a progressive gallery focused on long-term representation of emerging and established New Zealand artists.

We are located at 251 Parnell Rd, Auckland, New Zealand, among the many vibrant galleries and specialty boutiques in Parnell. The gallery opens from 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday, 10am - 5pm Saturday and 11am - 4pm Sunday.
