Travel Award for Visual Artist (painter)
The inaugural CAHT Travel Award for 2011 provides an emmerging painter and recent graduate (2006 - 2010) of the University of Canterbury's School of Fine Arts with $2500 for overseas travel to further their arts practice and career.
This award is deliberately narrow in its scope and is aimed at emmerging painters. For further details, selection requirements and application process, please open/download brochure below.

I am passionate about making creative projects happen. I am a strong facilitator and people person. I have managed a public gallery and helped to evitalise the Artist in Residence programme at the Arts Centre in Christchurch prior to its cancellation post earthquake. I am a member of the Free Theatre Christchurch ensemble and have performed and toured regularly over the last 4 years. I am one of the creators of Gap Filler- an initiative which places temporary creative projects on gaps created by the earthquake (or otherwise) in ChCh city. www.gapfiller.org.nz
