Digital Photography Lecturer (Contract)
The lecturer must have knowledge of the following topics:
- 35mm Digital SLR Camera Operation and Image Capture.
- Manage a Digital Workflow using relevant computer software.
- Studio and Location Based Digital Photography and Lighting Techniques.
- Photographic Genres: Documentary, Portraiture, Still Life and Fashion.
Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
- Student management (attendance, withdrawls, complaints, record keeping, completion etc).
- Provide student support (monitoring, advising, mentoring, etc)
- Marking of NZQA Assessments.
- Delivery of courses according to schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to develop & assist with curriculum for digital photography components.
- Day-to-day administrative activities.
- Complete administrative duties, including: record keeping, reporting and planning.
- Maintain student satisfaction.
- Initiate guest speaker requests.
- Able to research and apply knowledge of current digital photography practices to a classroom environment.
- Maintenance and reporting of student assessment records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree or Masters Degree, with either a major in photography or photographic related art practices.
- Teaching qualification preferable.
- Industry Experience preferable.
- Digital Photography
- Industy Experience preferable.
