Art Proposals wanted for One Night Wonder

ONE NIGHT WONDER is an art event that will give artists an opportunity to exhibit and sell their work outside of a dealer gallery context. It is a collaborative show that is organised for you so that all you have to do is bring your work and hang it or install it. Labels will then be added and blurbs about you or your work (if desired) and prices will be attached. The event will then be open to the public for perusal and purchase and if your work sells - you get paid.

Depending on the number of applicants, a small commission may be charged to cover costs, however the costs could all be covered by an entry fee. Prices will be confirmed once artists submitting works have registered their interest by February 6th.

The venue will be a large commercial property in central Auckland.

Works will be hung or installed on Saturday for a one-night-art-event on the Saturday night in late March 2010. At this stage it will be Saturday 27th March -  but this is subject to change due to numbers and volume of works submitted.

All works will be for sale on the night and will be able to leave the exhibition space with the new owners at the end of the event.

Artists may be required to assist with clean up the following day. Please advise if you are available.

Register interest before 6th February 2010.

Entry fee will be advised once venue/catering/numbers/volume of works on show is confirmed. The more people get involved - the cheaper it will be!
