CHRISTCHURCH ART GALLERY - TE PUNA O WAIWHETU

This is your opportunity to join the largest art institution in the South Island. We are the home of one of New Zealand’s most important public art collections and dynamic exhibition programmes.

 

As our Photographer you will provide high quality photographic, audio and video documentation of our collections and exhibitions. This will include material for gallery publications, sponsorship proposals, marketing, merchandising and websites – not to mention images for researchers, publishers, authors, artists, film and television productions.

 

To tackle this exciting role you must possess a tertiary qualification in photography or relevant recent practical experience. Your experience should include several years in, and sound working knowledge of, all aspects of photographic production processes – from image capture to final output. You must have the ability to work unsupervised and an understanding of applicable copyright requirements. Computer literacy is a must and experience in an art gallery, museum or similar cultural organisation is highly desirable.
