Fixed-term Project Position,
Otago Settlers Museum

As a member of the project team, you will be working with one of New Zealand’s finest social history collections, and actively involved in the Museum’s redevelopment project due for completion in late 2012.

As Community Liaison Officer, you will lead, plan and coordinate the development of the community focused displays within the newly refurbished museum. You will successfully liaise with the various communities associated with the museum through community spokespeople and individuals to ensure that displays are accurate and meet the needs and expectations of both the target audiences and the communities portrayed.

Previous experience in a community liaison role; the ability to work co-operatively to build partnerships and excellent planning, listening, writing and communication skills are essential.

This is a fixed-term contract, 30 hours per week for a nine month period.
