Newspaper Advertising Sales & Marketing
We are looking for a special person to join our existing team at The Fishing Paper (New Zealands leading FREE fishing publication) selling advertising and marketing opportunities.
You’ll need:
• The ability to negotiate and express yourself articulately, both orally and in written form.
• To be a quick learner.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Be able to respond well to varying demands on your time.
• At times work at a brisk pace.
• To be motivated by your ideas and keen to express them in a team environment.
• An ability to take direction and be comfortable with authority.
• To have a positive outlook.
• Be able to work with a team, even in sometimes, stressful conditions.
• To have a sound understanding of basic maths.
• To be a keen outdoors person with an interest in and some knowledge of fishing.
• Experience in newspaper, magazine and advertising sales.
• Good computer skills in emailing and internet
• Good record and time keeping.
• Current drivers licence
The Fishing Paper is a FREE monthly tabloid newspaper funded by advertising.
We are looking for someone to join our fun team and grow The Fishing Paper to be New Zealand’s number one fishing publication. The position is a combination of phone selling, emailing, and face to face calling.
The pay structure is retainer plus commission. You will have a small existing client base with an expectation of new business growth. The job also involves travel. This is a full time position.
Mon-Friday 8.30am - 5pm and is based in sunny Nelson.
