Torpedo7.com is the largest online sports retailer in New Zealand and remains one of the fastest growing NZ companies.
 
We have a full time position available to help accelerate the large volume of constant new arrivals of stock onto our website.

This position will be responsible for writing and maintaining the product descriptions on our website, www.torpedo7.com, for our ever expanding line of products. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of cycling products, a strong customer service focus and be able to demonstrate the ability to research new products and then present this in a customer friendly way on our website.    
 
Key Tasks:
  •  
    • Edit and write suitable product descriptions for new products.
    • Maintain existing product content to ensure that it is accessible and easily understood by our customers
    • Have frequent communication with the Marketing and Customer Service Teams to determine website product content requirements
    • Monitor new brands and products to ensure they are being set up within the required guidelines
Required Skills:
  •  
    • It is essential that you have a solid background and sound knowledge of Cycling Products, Parts and Accessories
    • Some experience with Motocross and Winter Sports would also be an advantage
    • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy with data entry is required
    • High level of competency with spelling and grammar
    • The candidate must have excellent organization skills
    • Excellent written English and oral communication skills
    • The ability to see through our customers eyes when writing product descriptions
    • Ability to take instructions and follow these with a minimum of supervision
    • Sound MS Office skills
    • Web savvy for searching for information on the web
    • Experience in a sports/cycling retail environment would be an advantage
    • Be a team player
The position is based in our Hamilton premises and is based on a 42.5 hour working week, Monday to Friday. Immediate start.
