The Web and Publishing Group of the Student Recruitment and Development Unit (SRDU) provides professional, integrated web, design and publishing solutions for the University of Canterbury. We are looking for an Assistant Editor within the Publications Team to provide publications and web publishing support, including editing and writing key University publications and websites, and coordinating profiles and photography.

We are seeking someone with a tertiary qualification in a related area, and a minimum of 3 years experience writing, editing and project managing print publications and websites, including working alongside graphic designers, web developers, photographers and printers, within brand requirements. Knowledge of desktop publishing and web publishing software would be an advantage.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to relate to and communicate with a wide range of people, including prospective students and other stakeholders. You will be highly organised with excellent written communication skills, an attention to detail and an eye for design, readability and usability.
