No need to commute long distances to work, no predictable news rounds.This job is for someone who's got the energy and enthusiasm to work in a region that is home to adventure junkies, smart developers and business commuters. Not forgetting the wine, there's also tourism, shipping, fishing, forestry and daily life for residents in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, the Marlborough Sounds.

The Marlborough Express needs a hard-working and reliable reporter for our Picton office. We want a committed news junkie who will produce stories and pictures, working closely with other reporters covering the Marlborough region.

We'd like you to have:
previous experience or training as a reporter
ability to write bright and interesting news stories, backgrounders and features
clean copy
work to deadlines
take strong pictures
excellent time management
can work alongside other staff to meet news priorities.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
