Sub-Editor, Auckland CBD
OurAuckland is the monthly printed publication and online news and events channel for Auckland Council. With an impressive distribution of over 550,000 copies, OurAuckland is a vital part of the council's communications strategy.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced sub-editor, who has an excellent eye for detail and a passion for accuracy and grammar.
Reporting to the OurAuckland Team Leader you will be responsible for providing sub-editing and writing assistance for both the printed publication and online channels. You will also provide communications assistance within the Brand and Channel teams as required.
This is a small but busy team and you will need to be a team player with lots of initiative and enthusiasm.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification, at least three years experience in a similar role with sub-editing responsibility. You will be able to work to tight deadlines and balance competing priorities. Excellent organisation and time management skills, a sense of humour and experience of working in a large and complex organisation is essential.
