Job description:

We are looking for writers in Auckland and Wellington to work with an international artist in March through to May, on a project which will lead to exhibition and publication.

The artist, from China, is painting and interviewing New Zealanders, and wants a writer to join in the interview and then write up each person's story. The text will be used in a book to be published with the paintings, and also for text in a touring exhibition that will tour NZ in 2011, and then be toured overseas.

This isn't a paid position, but will give good exposure and also useful contacts for your career as a writer. There is a possibility of further payment, pending the outcome of funding applications.

The artist will be in Auckland 15 March - 30 March, and in Wellington 1 April - 30 May. The painting/writing will take place in central city studio locations.
