Job description: 

A major part of Te Papa’s communication task is to engage the Museum’s diverse New Zealand and international audiences in the experience of its exhibitions, website, events programmes, and the Collections Online database. We need an experienced writer/translator to join the writing team to work on the te reo Mäori text, and to ensure that it is engaging and accurate for all these aspects of the Museum’s work

Complete fluency is essential, as is knowledge of tikanga Māori, and experience in writing and translation. We are looking for a commitment to excellence, a writer who is audience/visitor-focused, and is able to work to tight deadlines.

This is a full-time, permanent position.
