The Dominion Post has a great opportunity for an experienced reporter to cover for an existing staff member on Parental Leave for up to 12 months.
Operating out of our busy Wellington city multi media newsroom, we’re looking for someone who has initiative, is a highly motivated self-starter, competitive, willing to develop issues, break stories, keen to regularly write about local issues across online and print and prepared to work hard.
The Dominion Post works to tight deadlines and reporters are expected to be out of the office regularly, building contacts and ensuring they are not beaten in a competitive market.
Daily newspaper reporting experience is essential. Knowledge of Wellington and the region’s issues would be an advantage.
