Been looking for that break as a digital content and social media specialist?



We're seeking an enthusiastic and confident digital communicator to optimise the development and implementation of local, business and social media channels.



You will source, collate and edit stories targeted as of interest to key audiences and stakeholders, as well as write digital content in the form of articles, localised news etc for channels on the Auckland City Council website.

 

You'll also be our go-to person on social media knowledge, monitoring topical issue communications via Social Media (Facebook, Twitter etc) to ensure we gain a picture of views on Auckland City Councils initiatives, and educating/advising on effective social media policy and etiquette internally. That's real variety at the leading edge of digital communications - what more can you ask for!



You will need at least three years experience with online digital media, including writing and editing website content and e-newsletters. You will already have experience effectively utilising social media in a business environment. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have HTML knowledge to a basic/intermediate level. Ideally, this will be backed with a tertiary qualification, preferably in online marketing/communications or a related discipline. Experience of, or an appreciation of, working within a complex and politically sensitive environment is important.
