Managing Editor
This position is for a highly skilled production journalist, with significant experience in senior sub-editing positions at a daily metropolitan newspaper.
The role involves a high level of operational management, with particular emphasis on quality control, daily production processes, client liaison and budgetary oversight.
The successful applicant will have strong leadership and staff management skills and an unquestionable track record as an exceptional sub-editor, with the ability to cope with a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
He or she will lead a large team of sub-editors, producing news and feature pages for a metropolitan masthead and a range of regional daily and weekly newspapers.

Experience using the Cybergraphic production system is preferred, as is a working knowledge of New Zealand news and culture.
