COURSE DESCRIPTION
MAM prepares students for careers in the arts, cultural and entertainment sectors and includes leadership and management for these sectors.
The programme covers aspects such as:
- Organisational and operational jobs in the arts
- Facilitation and leadership
- Communication to artists, sponsors, government and the public
- Budgeting
- Delivering experiences through art and culture to institutions and the community.
MAM is built around core papers with additional electives offering weekly classes, practical projects such as fieldwork or case studies, occasional weekend seminars, formal assignments and guest speakers.
You will immerse yourself in contemporary theoretical readings, practice critical thinking, and be involved in external professional practice.
This programme would ideally suit you if you have a creative practice background or cultural industry experience.
