Continuity – Korero Mai 7: Cinco Cine                                                                                   May – Aug 2009

Duties: Working with all departments to ensure all continuity needs are met. Implementing new continuity system for all units, wardrobe and make up departments to follow.  Training new continuity trainee.  Working on set script supervising a bi-lingual drama, ensuring tikanga and protocol are being met, logging continuity and all other duties specific to continuity.

Production Co-ordinator – Marae D.I.Y 6: Screentime                                                    Feb – May 2009

Duties: Pre-planning and organising the design, schedule and execution of 3 Marae DIY 3 day renovations.  Organising building materials, equipment and labour to site before the DIY. Ensuring the DIY is keeping to the building schedule.  Working closely with whanau from the marae to ensure the DIY is successful on a production level and also a tikanga level.  Negotiating sponsorship with various businesses and ensuring contra agreements are being fulfilled during the DIY shoot.  Managing the marae budget.  The ability to problem solve effectively and quickly during the DIY to ensure the DIY is achieved.  Communicating effectively between the people of the marae and the production company.

Production Manager – Bruce Mason Centre                                                                        Nov 2008 – Feb 2009

Duties:  Scheduling shows and conferences into the centre, rostering of staff, finding new staff, duty supervising auditorium when required, creating call sheet system for centre and implementation, helping out technicians when required, managing crew during pack ins and pack outs, all other admin duties.

Stage Manager – AMES high acheiver awards: Van Gent Productions, Auckland               Oct 2007

Duties:  Stage managing awards ceremony show at the Bruce Mason Centre for Van Gent Productions.  Working with acts to ascertain and plot lighting, calling acts to stage and loading in and out of theatre.

Production Development – Taimania Productions, Whangarei                                  August – Oct 2007

Duties: Currently working on proposals and development of scientific documentaries and animation series to Maori Television for small Northland based Production Company.  Researching funding outlets, drawing up proposals and pitches, searching for talent and crew, organizing camera and sound equipment, scheduling in local people to be interviewed, weekly meetings brain storming ideas for new material and all administration duties involved in pushing out productions from the pre-production stage into production.

 

 

Stage Manager - Erica Fee Productions, Soho Theatre                                                    May 2007

 

Duties: Stage managing a staged read-through of the play “Unidentified human remains and the true nature of love”.  Duties involved sourcing props, organizing rehearsals and rehearsal space, plotting show, working with lighting operator and assisting director and actor with all production needs.

 

 

HR Advisor - BBC , London                                                                                                           April 2006 - Feb 2007

 

Duties:  Position involved helping all BBC staff with their human resource issues for new talent, presenters and crew to the BBC, BBC currently employs around 23,000 employees worldwide.  Activities involved  recruiting new talent and crew, drawing up contracts and offer letters to new employees,  pre-clearance by way of reference and criminal records checking, working out salaries to pay scales, setting up new talent and crew on internal systems, tracking work by email and logging system (SAP and TRACKER) answering all email and phone queries relating to various HR issues such as sick leave, holiday entitlement, maternity leave, managerial issues, disciplinary hearings, pay-rises, bonuses and working on the BBC’s annual salary review.

 

Set Dresser  - Popcorn:  Spark Pictures, London                                                                                 July 2005

 

Duties:  Sourcing props for movie, dressing set under and according to instruction from production designer, working on set as art department help.

 

Stage Manager – Stuart Little:  Northland Youth Theatre, Whangarei                      Dec 2000 - Mar 2001

 

Duties: Production managing and working on the touring show “Stuart Little”.  Sourcing props, organizing rehearsal schedules, advertising, PR, administration and  organizing tour dates/venues, working with director and actors, blocking and plotting of script, creating set, travelling on tour around northland with cast and set for 3 months.

 

Costume Designer/ Set Construction –The Toilet Seat’s up:  The Barn Theatre, Whangarei  Oct 2000

 

Duties: Designing costumes and sourcing costumes and costume materials for the play “The toilet seat’s up”.  Also working on set construction in the art department.
