Keita Hauiti
I am a Registered Art Teacher, and Visual Artist, majoring in Oil Painting. Studied and Elam School of Fine Arts from 1996-1999 and taught Art, and Performing Arts during 2001 - 2009 at secondary level.
My Paintings have been described as feminine, soulful and indigenous. I come form a large family and my father Matahi Whakataka Brightwell has exposed me to Carving, waka ama and rock carving from an early age.
My art reflects my environment and more recently my two children and husband.
Painter, Poet, Teacher of Art and dance.
Secondary Education achieved to bursary level in Art, English, Art History, and Classics.
Studied at Elam School of Fine Arts 1996 - 1999, Degree in Fine Arts.
Christchurch College of Education 2000, Diploma in Teaching.

2002 - 2005 - Gisborne GIrls High School. LTR and then Permanent Full time Position
2006- 2008 - Rotorua Boys High School- LTR ( long term Reliever)
2008-2009 - Rotorua School for Young Parents - part time Art Position (fixed).
