Chris Granshaw

I have always been creative and while my children were growing up I worked on a diploma of Art and Creativity through the Learning Connexion. During this time I became interested in jewellery making and enrolled at MIT to develop my technical skills under the guidance of Stephen Moore.

I work from my studio workshop at Port Waikato. I have many influences on my work; from my surroundings to exploring age old techniques. I am fascinated with lockets and containers, the idea of hidden secrets. I like using a wide range of materials both traditional and innovative.

My work is available from my studio, galleries and I take the opportunity to participate in exhibitions with other artists.
