Currently, I’m working as a freelancer with Moonhopper Ltd & EMI Music Arabia (artworks for music album covers)
I’m also signed by International Rescue art agency as animator and illustrator.
Sep 2009 to March 2010, I worked at Deep Animation in Auckland as an animator (contractor – full time).
In 2008, I worked as a part-time lecturer at AUT (for 3rd year Digital Media Design students). During my studies at AUT (2006-2008), I was constantly working on freelance basis, and as a tutor support with students in different projects at postgraduate level in academic writing, visual treatment development, sound design, compositing, editing, and research.
As part of MA thesis project, I supervised a team of cast and crew of 20 students / professionals / tutors, which was an animated short film.
I also worked as a part-time digital artist at Cirkus (commercials production company - Takapuna) for few months in 2008 with tasks involving realising visual treatments for TV commercial ads, re-creating a visual identity for a website.
In March 2010, I have finished another animated short film Rock Paper Scissors.
In music, I have released four full-length albums with EMI in 2001, 2003, 2007 and 2009. I’m a pianist, music producer and sound designer.
- Short film Rock Paper Scissors is to be screened at New Zealand International Film Festival in July 2010.
- Short film In The Name of Art, screened at New Zealand International Film Festival in July 2009, is a winner of Silver Knight at the 48th Malta International Film Festival (2009), a Certificate of Merit at Global Cinema Festival (India – 2009) and The Silver medal at BeST Awards 2008 in Auckland (students category). - Winner of AUT Dean’s Award for Postgraduate Student of The Year and the students’ speaker in the graduation ceremony (2008).
- Winner of three artworks chosen for the AUT calendar for three consecutive years (2006, 2007, 2008).
- Winner of the inaugural Idealog Award for Post Graduate Research in Graphic Design (2006) and featured in Idealog Magazine (issue #8).
- Winner of wrapping design competition (NZ Wrapt) in Certificate in Computer Graphic Design course (2005).

- Mardo El Noor
the 34 year old German-born, Jordanian-raised Kiwi is a graphic artist, filmmaker & musician. His first animated short film 'In The Name of Art' was screened at 20 film festivals in four continents including SITGES Film Festival (the biggest fantasy film festival in the world).
He was signed by EMI (Dubai) in 2000, & have released four music albums since then. He attended School of Art and Design at AUT, receiving a first class with honours MA degree in 2008.
