Michel Poblete Montoya

Hi!

I’m from Chile, South America, and my name is Michel Poblete Montoya. I would like to be considered for the supervisor position available.

My strengths, a high level of concentration and organizational skills, helped me, after six years, to obtain the professional qualification of Sound Engineer from the Technologic University of Chile. After that, I taught sound reinforcement at the same university for three years.

The last four years, I’ve been working for some of the main radio stations of Santiago, Chile, Radio Horizonte, Radio Rock and Pop and Radio Concierto. Before I left Chile, last July, I was professionally recording the most recent album of the indie rock band called "Casino". I also did the sound reinforcement for their concerts for almost two years, including the two gigs of they did as the support band of Radiohead in Chile on March 2009.

Also, I was working as volunteer more than 10 years in the Boy Scout Association of Chile, programming, designing and leading teams during the normal activities and summer camps for child in social risk, and in the 19th World Jamboree Mondial at 1999.

Now I’m here in New Zealand with my partner looking for a new place where work and live. We spent the last months making a documentary series about our experience and point of view of this country. For this reason I’m travelling with my own equipment, my Mac Book Pro, a Digidesign Mbox with Pro Tools and some microphones and headphones.

My native language is Spanish. I have been learning English for over a year from the British Institute of Santiago, Chile. I have my professional qualification certified by the New Zealand Embassy of Chile, with recommendations letters and a criminal report.

I’m a good person, very enthusiastic, honest, creative, and proactive. I have the ability to work under pressure and analyze situations, find solutions to problems and I am able to maintain good relations with my colleagues as well.
