George Heinemann
I am a recent graduate from the AUT Master of Business program, where I graduating at Honours level, and achieving the Post-graduate marketing award of my year.
The reason for doing this is because I wanted to skip past the "big bland corporates" of the world, and have skills and knowledge to offer and attract interesting companies that have a sense of passion and purpose about them.
Despite being very business-minded, I am very sympathetic and attracted to the creative industry. I myself have had a long-standing attraction to architectural periods, art periods, graphic design, typography, independent and foreign film, alternative and independent pop/rock, design by nationality, Sustainable fashion, democratisation of design... and Swing Dancing!
Being a part of this network and concept is an exciting experience for me, as it looks like a good way to combine my formal training as a businessman, with my natural passion for design and the arts.
