2003-2009 Lecturer and Senior Academic Staff Member Unitec, this leadership role
includes: lecturing, implementing academic policy, programme
development, consulting with internal and external stake holders.
Programme Coordinador Certifícate Interior Décor and Certificate Furniture
and Joinery. Responsable for the academic quality and delivery of these two
programmes: instructing new staff, develop new courses, entering results,
quality assurance and implement improvements such as literacy and
numaracy requierements.
1992-2002 Owner and Director, van Westen Antique Studio, Newmarket . Tasks include; importing,
and selling of fine art and antiques, educating the public on the value and virtues of these items. Running and manage a retail store, marketing, organise promotional events
(for the NZADA), staff training and manage a conservation / restoration studio.
