Benjamin Henson
I am driven by the need to tell stories – stories we can engage with and hold ourselves up against. Having worked on a variety of texts during my training and experience, I have been able to discover a wide range of approaches to suit the individual needs of each. However, when working on any production I try to create a ‘frame’, whether conceptually or psychologically, so that all elements, from acting style to aesthetic, are rooted in the rules, beliefs, boundaries of a world that is created between actor, material and myself.
- Thorough and dynamic theatre directing.
- Experience and understanding of all production aspect - set and costume design; lighting design; props sourcing and making; stagemanagement.
- Driven approach.
- Experience of production on all scales - from fringe to regional touring theatre.
