Rut Villamagna

In the last few years, I have been working for several workshops in Spain in order to gain experience and establish contact with as many techniques as possible. As part of my five-year career, I learned about scenic painting, modelmaking, sculpture, prop-maker, prosthetic painter, modelmaker and some knowledge as carpenter to build scale models. As a result of working as set painting manager (in www.artefacto.biz) I managed to get good experience in leading people, customer service, presentation skills, and also took part in The Pan´s Labirynth (by Guillermo del Toro). During this time, I carried out my employer’s performance expectations as scenic painter and modelmaker. Now I am living New Zealand and I would like to increase my work experience here.

Key skills:

Painting:  Lacquer, polish, imitation, aging, element hardening, and texturizing.

Molds: Polyester, silicone and plaster casts. Also familiar with polyurethane resin and fiber glass, cold latex, paper mache, plasticine, and plaster cast.

Sculpture: Generally work with plasticine and mud. Also familiar sculpting white cork and polyurethane foam as well as special substances like epoxy or super-sculpey.

Carpentry: Basic knowledge and capacity to  produce small pieces (scale models).
