Adam Burns
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Communications degree at Massey Wellington. Initially I was studying full-time but in 2009 I downgraded my study intake to part-time so I could pursue other interests such as broadcasting and journalism.
During my studies I have volunteered in student radio becoming breakfast host for the Massey student station MUNT FM (now MUSE FM) in 2009. I have also written feature articles and reviews for music publications such as Magneto, The Groove Guide, NZ Musician and Rip It Up.
I am currently looking for part-time employment for the mid to long term to expand and/or obtain new skills in the workplace.
Customer Service
- I have worked in customer service , both part-time and full-time since 2001.
- I am confident and comfortable with my ability to provide customers with the best possible service.
- Experience with cash handling and operating the till and eftpos/credit card machines.
- I am a people person and I believe this reflects in the way I serve customers.
Ability to work successfully as a member of a team
- I believe that for a team to function successfully, each team-member needs to put in considerable amounts of effort. I do not value forcing ideas or opinions. My biggest goal within any workplace is learning from others.

- I pride myself on a high work ethic no matter how small the task is.
- I am enthusiastic about achieving goals and what I can bring to the table of any team or organisation.

For two and a half years during secondary school, I worked part-time at KFC, Rotorua. My responsibilities included customer service, cash handling, operating the till, cleaning, cooking, food preparation and food handling.
